Unique Demands of Track & Field
Every Track & Field athlete's dream is to gain explosive power and quickness while decreasing the amount of muscle fatigue. The sport in general requires a strong and stable lower body and core, and even shoulders and arms depending on the event. Track & Field may require less equipment than most other sports, but demands just as much of the body, if not more.
Traditional exercises like squats, deadlifts, and calf raises are effective functional movements we'll use to train athletes in this sport. Resistance running is also another highly beneficial exercise for track & field athletes. Starting with a personalized biomechanical analysis, SPU will devise a training plan that will take your game to the next level.
