ALL ATHLETES WHO TRAIN AT SPU BEGIN WITH OUR BIOMECHANICAL INTEGRITY ANALYSIS, GIVING US A COMPREHENSIVE PICTURE OF HOW THE ATHLETE'S BODY FUNCTIONS, WAHT EXERCIES ARE APPROPRIATE, AND WAHT APPROACH TO TRAINING WILL BEST SERVE THAT ATHLETE. THE FIRST VISIT WILL ALSO INCLUDE A DISCUSSION OF GOALS, SPORTS PLAYED, HISTORY OF INJURIES, TRAINING EXPERIENCE, AND OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION. OUR COACH WILL ALSO HELP YOU SET UP YOUR SCHEDULE, DISCUSS TRAINING OPTIONS, AND ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE ABOUT MOVING FORWARD.

SPU SPEED DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS ARE DESINGED TO HELP ATHLETES ATTACK THE COMPLEX TASK OF CREATING REAL, TRANSLATABLE IN-GAME SPEED. WE'LL BREAK DOWN ACCELERATION, TOP END SPEED, AND AGILITY INTO THE COMPONENETS TECHNIQUE AND FORCE PRODUCTION, GIVING ATHLETES A REAL PATH TO FEEL FASTER, RATHER THAN GENERIC CONE AND LADDER DRILLS.

THE ACTIVE START PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR YOUNG, BEGINNING ATHLETES TO LEARN THE ESSENTIALS OF MOVEMENT IN A FUN, GAME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE TO HELP CREATE A LIFE-LONG LOVE OF EXERCISE AND SPORTS. ATTENDEES WILL BE EXPOSED TO A VARIETY OF GAMES AND ACTIVITIES THAT HELP THEM LEARN COORDINATION, BALANCE, AND PHYSICAL SELF-AWARENESS WHILE ALSO LEARNING TEAMWORK AND STRUCTURE.

THE FUNDAMENTALS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO PREPARE KIDS FOR MORE STRUCTURED WORKOUTS. USING A MIX OF GAMES AND INSTRUCTIONAL PERIODS, ATHLETES WILL LEARN BASIC EXERCISES AND MODALITIES, COMPETE IN GAME FORMATTED SPEED AND AGILITY DRILLS, AND BE GIVEN THE FOUNDATION NEEDED TO BE PREPARED FOR MORE STRUCTURED WORKOUTS IN THE FUTURE.
